Ani Dimitrova and Rossitza Wartonick have been nominated as Bulgarian financial literacy ambassadors
Bulgaria has nominated its financial literacy ambassadors. They will be part of a network of representatives from European Union member states. As part of its Financial Literacy Strategy, the European Commission is launching a pan-European communication campaign to complement and reinforce national efforts to raise awareness. A central element of this campaign is the creation of a network of financial literacy ambassadors. They will play an important role in conducting awareness raising campaigns at local level through media, public events, and digital platforms.
The nominees for Bulgarian financial literacy ambassadors are:
- Ani Dimitrova - advisor to the governor of the Bulgarian National Bank, with many years of experience in other senior positions at the BNB; an active participant in the communication campaign for the introduction of the euro in Bulgaria; with extensive experience in leadership roles in marketing, advertising, media, product development, and corporate communications; a lecturer and author of over 20 academic publications, including a monograph, as well as publications on topics related to education;
-Rossitza Wartonick - founder and director of the “Financial Literacy Initiative” Foundation; a representative of the non-profit sector with extensive experience in developing and implementing national financial literacy programs and initiatives; author of educational materials, digital tools, public education formats, analyses, and strategic documents related to the development of financial literacy policies; actively engaged with the general public through information campaigns, online platforms, and media.
